Living the Fab Life on Death Row?

26 Jan

Must be nice..

So, this North Carolina death row inmate had an all-time high confidence boost, and decided to write his congressman and tell him how his life on death row was “leisure”.   Danny Robbie Hembree Jr. was found guilty of murder in 2009 and was sentenced to death in November of 2011.  Hembree, 50, is on death row at Central Prison in Raleigh, N.C., and made light of his sentence by describing the luxury of a million dollar hospital facility with [free] 24/7 medical care availability.  He boasted about watching color TV in the A.C., reading, taking naps at will, eating three well balanced hot meals a day. Which, might I add, is much 3 more meals than most of America’s homeless is offered.

The inmate also made a mockery of death row stating that he’ll probably die of natural causes before he dies of any “lawful murder”.  “I laugh at you self righteous clowns and I spit in the face of your so called justice system. The state of North Carolina has sentenced me to death but it’s not real,” he wrote.

It must be nice to brutally commit a crime, and get the luxuries that most [TAX PAYING] citizens aren’t able to afford.  Different from shows such as Lockdown, prison life for most top security prision is basically, a walk in the park, with no student loans… Go figure =/ ♥

Mitt Romney.. A Scam??

25 Jan

Image

Sooo… Mitt Romney, like many politicians, got caught in his own lies.. I actually was intrigued by his approach to his presidential campaign, but after this, much more investigation must be done to see who this guy really is.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s 2010 tax return was released to the public today after much controversy around the Governor’s income. Romney, who made a fortune of as much a  $250 million in the private-equity industry, paid an effective tax rate of 13.9 percent on income in 2010,which is very very litte, according to a tax return his campaign showed reporters last night was released yesterday.

Romney released the tax returns after a week in which his chief rival for the Republican presidential nomination, former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich, questioned whether Romney was hiding information about his finances and cast him as being out of touch with most Americans.  Romney, whose estimated net worth is $190 million to $250 million, is among the wealthiest Americans ever to seek the presidency.  Point blank, the man in RICH, he has land in the Cayman Islands and accounts in Swiss banks. Romney who portrays to live a humble life, and who has been quoted as saying “I too know what it is like to be without a job, so now he has fire under his butt and a lot of explaining to do.. Let’s see if he can pull himself up out of this one. ♥

Kids Charged in the Beating of a Chicago Teen (Video)

24 Jan

Chicago Beating

I’m sure many of you may have heard about the video of the beating of an Asian teenage boy first aired on worldstarhiphop.com. Well this is a peculiar case, because teenage boys are facing hard time for their actions.

According to the Huffington Post, Raymond Palomino, 17, of the 3500 block of South Hoyne Avenue, is one of seven teens charged in connection with the brutal beating, captured on video and posted on YouTube, of a 17-year-old boy. (click link to see video of assault) Palomino has been charged with robbery and aggravated battery, both felonies, and his bail was set at $100,000, an amount his attorney Ilia Usharovich called “a spit in the face.”

The boy’s father, who is a deputy sheriff in the county where the crime was committed, turned his son in, but feels that his son is being treated unfairly because he is the only one being tried as an adult, but at 17, state law permits this trial.  The rest of the offenders ranged from the ages of 15-16.  The victim of the crime is a high school senior, who in the video, is being punched in the face and kicked repeatedly by a group of attackers while being taunted with racial slurs. His attackers also robbed the victim of $180 in cash, in addition to his sneakers.

Lost a Legend: RIP Miss Etta James

Etta James, born Jamesetta Hawkins, best for her uncharacteristically sweet ballad “At Last,”  was one of the first women inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, James began her career in 1954, at the age of 15.  She is regarded as having bridged the gap between rhythm and blues and rock and roll, and is the winner of six Grammys.  A movie, which starred Beyonce, depicted the life of James, and singers such as Ciara and Keisha Cole has regarded James as being an influence in their musical careers, (no shade guys).  And the year’s biggest star, Adele,  has called James “her favorite singer ever.” And, My own singing voice is much like hers, I just haven’t let anyone hear it yet.  Miss James, died Friday morning in Riverside, California after a long battle with chronic leukemia. She was 73.  ♥
